The municipality of Tumaco located in the south west coast of Colombia on the Pacific Coast of Nariño, 304 km south west of the city of San Juan de Pasto. It is the second seaport and the main oil port on the Pacific Ocean, two meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 28 Celsius degrees, characterized by having a warm humid climate.
Especial district, industrial port, biodiverse and echo-touristic, San Andres de Tumaco, the corner of the world, where clouds and sea kiss, place to catch the magic of its beaches, sky and culture, considered the second port on the Pacific Colombian coast.
Called the Pearl of the Pacific, because on its beaches the world largest pearl was found.
Its beaches considered treasure with exotic landscapes with the Morro, the Bajito, Boca Grande, and beautiful coastal accidents like Cabo Manglares, the cove of Tumaco, the Gallo Islands, the Barra, which daily attract domestic and foreign tourists.
Bocagrande island is a paradise in the sea, and has inspired great composers.

This area bathed by many rivers, and made up of flat or undulating lands, corresponding to the Pacific lowlands; extensive areas of forests where mangroves are predominating.
